The walls were broken. The gates were burned with fire. The people were distraught and scattered far from home. But GOD was there, and God was at work. He took a man who was the servant of a king and used him to bring about restoration and renewal. Throughout Scripture, God seems to take great joy in the ministry of restoration and renewal, ultimately leading to our salvation through Jesus.
